Abstract: This work reviews the measure aimed to improve operational safety of main oil pipelines through introduction of continuous monitoring of liquid weight in legs between two oil pumping stations located in series. Improved technology of such monitoring Ц band monitoring is proposed, allowing consideration of continuously changing oil transport conditions (flow rate, pressure, temperature) and current variations of individual density of the liquid itself. The algorithm compliant with specified conditions is set forth for solving defined task.
