Abstract: Recent years have seen the requirements for the quality of oil products to become much more stringent. The maintenance of the quality of oil products should be ensured through the implementation of an effective management system that allows for a prompt and complete assessment of the quality of oil products in the traffic and for their optimization. The improvement of this system involves the development of a strategy that takes into account a set of factors affecting the quality of oil products during the transportation process and ensures that appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented. The following directions for development are recognized as promising: planning and optimization of freight traffic on the basis of analyzing the quality of oil products taken by MOPP, the prospects for changing the directions of the freight traffic and the range of oil products; application of effective methods of consecutive pumping, organization of quality monitoring for oil products in the freight traffic, the implementation of mobile and on-line means of rapid quality control; organization of methodological support of all types of work performed. The solution of these issues can be entrusted in the future to the Center for Quality Assurance of Oil Products.

Keywords: oil products, main oil products pipelines, quality assurance system, control, transportation, monitoring, rapid control, strategy, planning, optimization.
