Abstract: When filling vehicles with oil and oil products, significant loss of product is occurring due to natural evaporation. Vapor recovery units (VRU) are most efficient method for reducing this loss. When filling vehicles with oil and oil products, significant loss of product is occurring due to natural evaporation. Vapor recovery units are most efficient method for reducing this loss. The authors of present article were aimed to analyze available units and determine their advantages and disadvantages.

Keywords: filling of oil products, loss of oil and oil products, evaporation of oil and oil products, vapor recovery, vapor recovery units, decrease of hydrocarbon emission, adsorption, absorption, condensation, diaphragms.
