Procedure for assessment of energy efficiency of the facilities of the active main oil pipelines

Abstract: The article presents a comprehensive procedure for assessment of energy efficiency of the facilities of oil pipeline transportation system. The energy efficiency of functioning of a main pipeline (MP) shall be determined using the criterion of energy efficiency of functioning of the process areas (PA) calculated on the basis of the relative value of their efficiency factor for the analysed period of time ( or of a group of operating modes). Assessment of performance of the main pump units at PA is based on receipt of the actual (operating) parameter of change of its efficiency factor for the analysed month and comparison of it with the specification parameter. The presented procedure of calculation of the efficiency factor has passed an assessment test and demonstrated its timeliness at the process areas of MP of the organizations of Transneft system. Implementation of the procedure for assessment of energy efficiency of the MP facilities has allowed monitoring the technical condition of the facilities using the data obtained due to the regular options of the Monitoring and Supervisory Control System and Automated System of Electric Power Technical Record-Keeping following the results of analysis of which certain measures for improvement of the efficiency factor have been developed.
